Teela's ornate lightsaber left the floor at extreme speed. It was a delicate looking thing, silver with organically crafted engravings, a natural pattern made by allowing the small borer beetles to crawl across it's surface. Their swirling patterns, unique in that no design could, or would ever be the same. Such was the way of the Twi'lek Jedi, Life, first and for most could be used in it's infinite combinations to create works of art. Why use a manufactured tool, when a real living one was so much more elegant. It was a delicate looking thing, but delicate, it was not. It was a weapon made for defence. An elegant weapon, wielded by only those who were gifted in the ways of the Force. It flew, through the electrified, stinking air towards it's caller and master, spinning end over end. The above lighting created a glimmer each time the smooth bottom passed vertically beneath it. The lightsaber's momentum was arrested and instantly reversed as it met the slender blue hand of Teel'Arar.

She had leaped, All thought of herself and preservation of her own life gone, towards the Zakuulan Knight. The knight chanted, some Dogma that Teela couldn't listen to, as she fried the room with Force lightning. There were twelve children in that room, Younglings, Jedi potentials, all of them Force sensitive. She would save them, She had to save them, there was nothing else in this moment, only the pure need to defend innocent life. Her lightsaber ignition switch was flicked on, by her well maintained and manicured thumb, and she landed in-front of the biggest challenge of her life.

The Zakuul Knight flipped backwards effortlessly and landed on top of the generator he has stood before just a moment ago. Teela deftly hopped up onto the generator after him. He would not be allowed to continue this evil. The energy arcs in the room reflected off the gold and black armour worn by this adversary, and the knight made a "Hmph" sound, catching his reflection in the wide eyes of his Rutian attacker. Teela attacked, with abandon, going to a swift kill, hoping to overwhelm the Knight with a surprise attacking fury. She gave the assault everything she had, every move she knew, every trick in the three pronged brain that rested in her soon to be parted head.

It wasn't going well. Not the kind of trouble that was going to cause frustration, but the kind of trouble that was going to see her dead, along with the children she had so foolishly jumped into hell to protect. What was she thinking, She was no Satele Shan. Every desperate swing her lightsaber made was coolly countered by the much more combat trained Knight of Zakuul. Sweat beaded on her hairless blue head. Any second now the marines would start fire- No, they wouldn't, she realised with a sickening note that reverberated around her whole being. She was in the way. In her haste to save the children Teela Rar, the very average combat talented Jedi, had landed right in bewteen the marines and the Knight. Fool! Idiot, she thought. All those joint training exercises she had gone on, and her second taste of battle with them, she had given them an impossible choice to make.

"Fire at zem, do not worree about me!" Teel'Arar yelled, as her saber came up and furiously blocked a backwards decapitating strike. She swung at the Knight's legs, only to hit air as the opponent skipped over the glowing white spear of light that was her weapon. She tried to bring the miss into a diagonal slash. Her blade bounced off the guardian blue blade of the Knight, and she pivoted and spun, reversing the attack to mirror it but from up right to bottom left. Teela was fast, but she wasn't strong. She was stronger than your average Twi'lek female, that was for sure, but, this enemy, this source of evil had been trained to fight and kill Jedi. The attack she made was blocked, and then the first blaster bolt that the marines cast in was blocked too, in a dazzling display of all the lessons Teela should have taken but hadn't. In her enemy, she saw her impending death. More blaster bolts screamed in, the energy wrapped packets of tibanna gas being blocked by the knight just as easily as Teela's flurry of attacks. The triangular eye-lenses of the Knights helm radiated a celestial light, and Teela watched the knight's helmet as he suddenly left her field of view, flipping over her with incredible speed.
